• Extreme Hot Weather

  Please note: we’re expecting very hot weather over the next couple of days with temperatures in the 30s. To keep pupils safe and comfortable we will reduce the length and intensity of all physical activity during Sports Week.

   

  What you need to do:

  • Please send your child to school in their PE kit each day this week (shorts and school T‑shirt).
  • Ensure your child brings a water bottle to school every day to stay hydrated.
  • Apply sun cream at home before arrival (we cannot apply suncream for pupils but we can assist).
  • Provide a sun hat or cap for any outdoor times. We will monitor hat use and keep pupils out of direct sun and heat as much as possible.

  What we’ll do:

  • PE and other physical activities will be kept short and low‑intensity.
  • Outdoor time will be limited and supervised; children will be kept in shade and indoors when temperatures are highest.
  • Staff will monitor pupils closely for signs of overheating and act immediately if a child needs help/support.
