On behalf of the staff, pupils and governors of Wellfield Methodist & Anglican Church Primary School, I would like to welcome you to our website and to our school.
Wellfield Church Primary is a school where the welfare of our pupils is at the centre of everything we do and every decision we make. We constantly strive to ensure that all children feel valued and supported and are able to achieve their personal best. As headteacher, I am proud to lead a team that strongly believe in providing our pupils with exciting, creative and meaningful learning experiences, which build their enthusiasm for learning and help them to grow and develop positively in a variety of ways.
Our aim for the children of Wellfield is for them to become confident and independent young people, who enjoy the challenges of learning and are motivated to try new things, inspired by our creative and individually tailored curriculum. Frequent trips and visits, community activities and a wide range of after school clubs further add to the opportunities available here at our school.
Our core Gospel values are reflected throughout the life of our school where our Christian vision is: ‘Learning and growing together through Faith, Hope & Love.’ We are extremely proud of our links with our founding churches, Padiham Road Methodist and All Saints Church of England, and as such we are encouraged by our excellent whole school community where we thrive on mutual respect, values and positive relationships. Our relative close proximity to our churches enables us to engage in regular worship in church as well as enjoying worship in school. Parents are always welcome to join in with these special events and times of prayer.
We are fortunate to have a very active group of parents known as the ‘Friends of Wellfield Church School’ who organise many exciting fundraising events throughout the school year. They are always thrilled to have new members in the team!
We very much encourage you to come and visit, to see us in action and to meet our wonderful staff and children first-hand. If there is anything that you would like further information on, please do not hesitate to ask the school office staff (Mrs Wyatt or Mrs Kennedy), who will gladly assist you.
We look forward to welcoming you into our lovely school.
Mrs Maria Ellel
