This morning we had a tour around our Forest School looking at tyre swings, the camp fire, tree swings, large and small dens and the mud kitchen. The children were able to have lots of time to explore all these areas with their friends. We learnt Neil's three golden rules; look after yourself, look after your friends and look after your environment.
We helped Neil to build a large den, where we collected lots of sticks and used these as tent pegs to secure our den. The children loved using the hammer to get the sticks into the ground. The children loved getting involved in all activities where teamwork was needed, lots of excellent sharing and turn taking was observed.
Later, we went on a bug hunt looking for ladybugs, caterpillars, spiders and beetles, this was lots of fun, we looked under various objects to see what minibeasts we could see.

We started off the morning playing with the parachute, the children enjoyed making waves and playing different parachute games. After that, we talked about how some woodland animals like to hibernate during Autumn. He introduced us to his woodland friends. We worked together, collecting various natural materials and made dens for the woodland animals.

For national languages day, we learnt all about the country of Germany! We learnt that pretzels are a popular snack in Germany so we made our own pretzel mixture and shaped them. After that, we cooked them on the fire. They were very yummy!
