'EXCELLENCE IN SPORT'
Look Back At 2024/25
Our children have been representing school in a range of events throughout the 2024/25 school year. We've taken part in The Johnstone Cup in football which we won after a dramatic penalty shoot out in the final, Sports Hall Athletics in Key Stage 1 and Cross Country to name just a few. All the children who have represented school have done so fantastically and we are so proud of every single one of them.
In school, we've had a wide range of sports available to the children either as part of the curriculum, extra curriculum during the school day as well as after school clubs. We've brought specialist dance and gymnastics coaches that have worked alongside our teachers to help develop their own skills in teaching these areas of the PE curriculum. All of our Key Stage 2 children have had a half term of swimming down at St Peter's Centre as well as have Coach Simon coming in to teach Tag Rugby. The entire school have also had the opportunity to have a half term with Mr Claxton in our Forest School which everyone has loved. This year, we have also given everyone the opportunity to take their first (or next) steps onto the dancefloor by offering two dance after school clubs - Disney Dance and Introduction to Ballroom and Latin - which the children have all enjoyed. A big thank you to all the coaches who have come into school this year to make all this possible.
