Science

In science, we will continue our work on plants; identifying and describing the functions of different parts of flowering plants: roots, stem/trunk, leaves and flowers. We will explore the requirements of plants for life and growth (air, light, water, nutrients from soil, and room to grow) and how they vary from plant to plant. We will also explore the part that flowers play in the life cycle of flowering plants, including pollination, seed formation and seed dispersal.

We have observed different flowering plants and identified the features.

We used our knowledge of these features to create our own flowers.

We selected different materials to represent the functions of the important features we have been learning about.
