Design & Technology at Wellfield

Intent: 

It is our intention for the design and technology element of our school curriculum to offer our children the chance to use creative thinking and activity within a defined purpose. We believe that as a subject, the children should combine skills, knowledge, concepts and values to enable them to tackle real life problems. It is our intent to improve the children’s analysis, problem solving, practical capability and evaluation problems. It is our intention that the children will love solving problems and be able to believe that every problem is possible to solve.

We are committed to ensuring our children will experience individual and collaborative learning experiences, a positive growth mind set, a sense of responsibility and challenges that take them beyond the classroom in-line with our whole school vision that ‘I can do all things....’ 

This week, we have all enjoyed a DT themed week where we have had the opportunity to develop our skills and knowledge in a range of areas.

We particularly enjoyed welcoming parents into school to showcase our work and share all the wonderful things we have been learning and making.
