Children in Year 6 are expected to read a minimum of 3 times each week. The book they have read with the page range should be written in their Home Reader books and signed by an adult.
You will also receive weekly spellings and times tables to practise in preparation for a test each Friday. These spellings and times tables will also be practised as part of our work in class.
Children will be given homework every Friday and this is expected to be completed and handed in on the following Thursday. Homework will be English and Maths work. If your child has any questions please come and see myself or Mrs Tattersall before Thursday.
We follow the No-Nonsense Spelling Scheme in school. Each week, we will learn and practise a different spelling rule in school and we will receive a test each Friday. Please help by practising these spellings at home if possible.
