Year 3

Welcome to Year 3 with

Miss A. Jenkins, Mrs S. Tattersall and our 30 superstar learners!

Who's Who

Who's Who 1 Mrs S. Tattersall

Our Class Routine

  • We have PE on Tuesday and Thursday morning so please make sure you have your kit at school, including fresh socks.  During this half term, PE will focus on gymnastics.

  • Children will have a little time to read in class each day, so please ensure that your child has their reading book available at all times.
  • Homework is set each Friday to be handed in the following week.  This will be either English focused or maths. In addition, the children will have spellings and timestables set.
  • Spelling tests will be done on Friday.  It is your child's responsibility to log into TT Rock Stars to access the tables they have been assigned.

Mrs Tattersall and I are really looking forward to another busy, exciting term ahead so please let us know if you have any worries or concerns and then they can be quickly dealt with.

Many thanks, Miss Jenkins

Autumn 2 Curriculum Map

The curriculum map looks at the topic areas that Year Three will be studying up until Christmas. Links to further resources are linked in below. If you would like further information or a chat about any subject areas, please message on Class Dojo where we can book a convenient time to talk. smiley

Winter Poetry

English: Poetry

In English, children have been exploring language and phases used in calligrams (shape poems). We acted out an autumn poem by picking our favourite lines and phrases from the poem. All the poems shared in this lesson can be located on 'Angela's Poems', the link is shared below.

Healthy Me!

In science, we have been learning about healthy lifestyles and how eating well can be of benefit. The Change4life website provides ideas for making changes to family life that can get you moving more and enjoying healthier recipes! The website is approved by The NHS.

Super Sandwiches

Design and Technology

Whilst exploring our topic of healthy diet, Year Three made some sandwiches as part of a snack that had to contain all five food groups: carbohydrates, protein, healthy fats, dairy and fruit and vegetables. How many can you spot in our photographs?
