Teaching and Learning (at home and school)

At School

We will continue to endeavour that our children will receive learning which nurtures, excites and stimulates as best as we are able whilst following the safety guidelines.

The children will be following a structured day however not as it may have previously looked. Lessons will be taught, and, from Government advice, there will be a focus on phonics for reception and year 1 as well as a greater focus of reading across the whole school.

Children will be expected to remain seated throughout most of the day in their classroom with the exception of Reception and Year 1 who in their groups of 4 will be moving around different workstations.  Each workstation will be wiped down before the next group begins their task.  Desks will be clearly spaced out although it will not always be possible to maintain an exact 2m distance between each child due to the size of the classrooms.

At Home

For children in years 2, 3, 4 and 5, teachers will continue to offer online resources and learning.

Key Worker and Vulnerable children in years 2,3,4, and 5

These children will be completing their online learning and remote learning however supervised by staff at school.
