12 lucky pupils were selected to be part of the S.W.A.T. programme (Schools Working and Achieving Together). Along with lots of other primary schools from the area, the pupils had to deliver a presentation about what makes Welfield a very special place.
The pupils made lots of new friends, even making a book mark before the event to give to a pupil from another school as well as receiving one in return.
The rest of the day was then spent on creating a collaborative piece of artwork with Jackie Smith (who made the banner hanging up in our school hall).
Our pupils will next have the opportunity to visit Walverden & Briercliffe schools as part of the initiative and it also involves teachers working together to share good practice and resources.
The pupils involved were exceptionally well behaved and had a brilliant time.
