Our first half-term in Year 1 has begun by revising our knowledge of place value to 10. Our work has included counting forwards and backwards, finding one more and one less, recognising numbers as words and comparing numbers.
We have been learning how to use the following mathematical vocabulary correctly:
fewer; more; same; less than; greater than; equal to; order; compare; sort
We have been using rekenreks; number lines; tens frames and bead strings to help us.
